Sorrel and Elderberry

Fall has us start to think about cold and Flu season, with this year keeping our immune system strong is more important than ever.

Elderberries are full of vitamins, antioxidants, help reduce inflammation and boost your immune system.  

Combine Elderberries with Sorrel (hibiscus) to strengthen the immune system, reduce inflammation, improve heart health and fight off colds with the antioxidants.

Two ways to enjoy this combination:

1. Half bottle of Sorrel with 4 Tbs of Elderberry syrup

2. Use the recipe below to make a fresh tea mix:

  • 10 cups water
  • 1/2 cup Sorrel
  • 1/2 cup Elderberries 
  • 1 Tbs Cloves
  • 2 Tbs fresh ginger ( about a thumb size)
  • 1 cinnamon stick


Put all ingredients into a pot, bring to boil and stir. Remove from heat, cover and let sit for 2 hours minimum. Strain and sweeten to taste with sweetener of choice.

Enjoy the tart sweet taste as you give your health a nice boost.
